  Wouldn’t it be great if there was an expert who could come to your house, equipped with all the equipment and know how to start greening your home in just a few hours? Well now there is. Our Greenvan service combines a full Energy Star certified whole-house energy audit with a hands-on eco-consultation to get started right away.

    
 
How it works:
First, we start by asking you what’s important to you in greening your home. Our pre-visit checklist helps you identify your primary concerns, and it ensures our energy/eco-experts and subsequent report speak to the issues that are most important to you.

Second, we arrive at your home prepared to comprehensively analyze your home’s performance. Our home service includes an inspection of the home’s various systems and features, advanced diagnostics, including infra-red camera and blower door test as well as architectural software modeling. Additionally, the home service can identify areas for improvement ranging from your home’s viability for renewable energy to indoor air quality (IAQ) issues, and recommendations ranging from smart water practices to composting and recycling.

Finally, we have all the items in the Good Green Bag with us (and a few extra!) and we’ll help you try them out and install them at home. You keep and pay for only what you decide works for you in your home.		  
Benefits:
• Comprehensive Energy Star certified energy audit, the best way to understand your home’s current energy usage and efficiency. (If your home is energy efficient it may qualify to be a certified Energy Star home.)

• The Home Energy Report Card (TM) is the unique and site-specific report you receive shortly after the visit. It details your home and its features, qualitatively and quantitatively, in an easy-to-read format.

• The report provides an accurate carbon footprint for your home and suggests no-cost, low-cost and other improvements for your consideration based on cost-effectiveness.

• Our Greenvan service goes beyond Energy Star requirements and includes water usage, renewable energy evaluation, toxic cleaning products “detox” and more.
